Our Team

At Alcanda we work as a team, sharing the same clinical vision. Each professional has their own area of expertise, but we share an approach, values and coordinate cases when needed.

Blanca Alcanda
Clinical psychologist (Col. M-34869)

I have been a psychologist since 1989, with postgraduate training in General Health Psychology, Clinical and Health Psychology, and Forensic Psychology. I mainly work with adults experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, health anxiety, somatic symptoms, phobias, eating disorders, or chronic health conditions. My approach is warm and personalized, integrating EMDR, cognitive and behavioral techniques, exposure therapy, and emotional regulation strategies according to each person’s needs. My aim is to help clients understand the source of their difficulties, create meaningful change, and regain confidence, autonomy, and quality of life. In-person and online sessions available.

Julia Argentina Rodríguez Pastor
General Health Psychologist (M-35887)

I work from a behavioral and contextual approach, specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), also integrating Mindfulness. I support people experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, or a lack of purpose in life, understanding their story within their social and cultural context. Therapy with me is not about eliminating discomfort, but about learning to live with it and acting in accordance with what gives life meaning. My style is approachable, humane, humorous, and embraces diversity. Consultations are available in person, online, and also in English.

Raquel Clifford
Clinical Psychologist

I am a psychologist with a Master’s degree in General Health Psychology. I work from a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental approach, adapting therapy to each person’s individual needs. I have a particular interest in third-wave therapies, relationship diversity, and non-monogamous relationships. I see therapy as a safe and trusting space to better understand what we are experiencing, develop new tools, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with what truly matters. Sessions are available in both Spanish and English.
